You definitely have to be in the right mood to watch this movie (the same applies to the stage show, which I've just watched in a local rep revival). This remake attempts to stay true to the original. Part campy musical, part horror film, the movie details the travails of a squeaky clean couple stranded at a creepy castle where the inhabitants sing and dance through a bacchanalian romp of murder, bisexuality and cannibalism. Such a great cast with incredibly memorable songs that won't leave your head for many years, if ever.
